re:publica 2026

CONFERENCE

The national EUDI Wallet project participated in re:publica on 18 May 2026 with two lightning talks and a subsequent meet‑up.

The goal of the lightning talks was direct dialogue with the re:publica community, combined with a clear and accessible explanation of key design and implementation principles of the national EUDI Wallet, illustrated through practical real‑world examples. In line with the re:publica 2026 motto “Never Gonna Give You Up”, the contributions highlighted that accessibility and practicality for everyday use are not just afterthoughts in the government’s EUDI Wallet, but integral parts of the development process. The sessions were deliberately offered in both German and English to ensure inclusive and broad participation, in line with the bilingual format of re:publica.
