The Role of Intermediaries in the Ecosystem
Intermediaries act as specialized service providers that support both the registration process and technical integration, making it easier for relying parties to get started. At the same time, their role raises important questions around requirements, responsibilities, and transparency, from both a regulatory and practical perspective. We will explore these questions in the OOC #28.
From Concept to Practice
The session combines conceptual understanding with practical insights. Participants will gain an overview of how intermediaries support relying parties, how their role is defined under eIDAS, and how they are implemented in practice within the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. We will also highlight how intermediaries can support scaling participation while ensuring clear responsibilities.
Designed for a broad audience, the session is particularly relevant for service providers and relying parties considering working with an intermediary or becoming one themselves – however, everyone is welcome. Participants are invited to share their perspectives in an open Q&A and feedback session.
