The Digital Day is a Germany‑wide initiative held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and State Modernization (BMDS), aiming to make digitalisation accessible, inclusive, and relevant to everyday life.
Participation of the project at Digital Day 2026
Under the title “The EUDI Wallet explained: Security, features and accessibility in focus”, the project team provided insights into the functionality, benefits, and the secure and accessible design of digital identities from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Mirko Mollik, Konrad Degen and Sandra Kostic presented the key aspects of the wallet and addressed questions related to data protection and data security. The session focused on how the EUDI Wallet worked, its practical value, and how digital identities could be designed to be both secure and accessible. A concluding Q&A session provided an opportunity for exchange and open discussion.

Bitkom session introducing the EUDI Wallet
As part of a Bitkom event, the state EUDI Wallet was presented in a clear and practical way for a broad audience from 10:00 to 11:45 am. In the session “What is the EUDI Wallet? What can it be used for? How secure is my data?”, Hagen-Joachim Saxowski (BMDS) outlined the foundations and objectives of the wallet, while Benjamin Schaufler (SPRIND) presented practical use cases and demonstrated how it could be used in everyday life.
