The bitkom eIDAS Summit 2026 brings together key players from the emerging EUDI Wallet ecosystems in an interdisciplinary setting. Technical experts, policymakers, public administrations, and companies involved in the use or development of digital credentials come together to exchange insights and experiences. The conference provides orientation on the current state of implementation, insights from pilot projects, and perspectives for the crucial months leading up to the Europe wide rollout of the EUDI Wallet.
Federal Minister Dr. Karsten Wildberger (BMDS) will open the conference with a keynote on the first day. Further insights will be provided by Hagen J. Saxowski, Head of Identity and Authentication Services (Wallet) at BMDS, who will speak on the transition from strategy to implementation in states and municipalities.
On the second day, Carsten Rosche (Project Lead, BMDS) will join a European focused panel discussion following live demos of the German, French, and Polish EUDI Wallet solutions.
